Well, this makes the buy plus upgrade seem like all the more a great deal... Award business class travel JFK=>KIX is 275,000 Skywards miles PLUS about $1730 USD!! Who is doing the math on their revenues department for this?

But back to my original question... in the pursuit of (fully refundable) buy plus upgrade (to business class)... is there any other airline we should be looking at? (particularly with trans-pacific routing to get from US to Japan, rather than the much longer trans-atlantic route?)
