As many have said, try a 3-prong plug or an international adapter. I've had luck with both, although the last time I flew (an A319 if it makes a difference), I couldn't use the 3-prong - the green light went to red and I got no current. I assume it was some sort of short-circuit/ground plug/electricity-ish sort of thing, but no idea what exactly.
