I'm staying in Bangkok longer than planned and decided to take in a change of scenery from the (always excellent) Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit where I am now. I was able to get a Balcony Room overlooking the river at the excellent Peninsula for 40% less than a room at the St Regis. I honestly don't see how this hotel gets its custom - in my view there is clearly no comparison,
