I was scheduled to take this particular flight but missed the flight due to snow in NYC caused the traffic delay into Newark. I saw UA936 was still at the gate when I arrived at EWR well passed its departure time due to weather condition.
BG1 boarded around 5:30 PM and we didn't leave to get deiced until close to 7:15 PM. Then snow was enough of an issue to prevent one of the pilots from getting there on time. One of the two was stuck in vehicle traffic trying to get to EWR...once he got on board he profusely apologized for being late and then said it took him over three hours vs. the normal 45 minutes. Oops.
