Firstly, I had an 744 sq ft suite confirmed as a SPG Plat upgrade at the W and here it was like pulling teeth to get a King/Queen on a higher floor (per my Marriott Plat status). Just very odd front desk behaviour as the property is dead quiet. I have the smallest room in the hotel now, at 280ish sq ft, with a Queen bed and a good view. That is it, no further effort made at all.
No other profile preferences have been address such as feather pillows, extra towels, they just do not care or do not know where to look in our profiles.
In the week before Christmas, I have decided to enjoy the hotel design, reasonably good breakfast, excellent wifi at 30 mbps all over the property (compared to my 0.72 mbps with a telephone cord run from an adjacent room at the Marriott Tuxtla, Chiapas, Mexico).
Would I recommend this property? Yes, but with the tiny room caveat.
YMMW - I had a 1 night stay here earlier in the year, and they upgraded me (as plat) to the biggest suite in the hotel, I believe (a master suite). A nice property, with two different towers. Breakfast pretty good too I thought.
After staying in La Candeleria, I liked the different vibe of being in the heart of Rosales.
