I think it's a little unfair to suggest that for 15 hours there was "no real food" on offer. Breakfast in PE ex LAX is a full 3 course meal with fruit, cereal, yoghurt/milk and bakery. You then have two options for the hot option which is often also a Quesadilla (which is delicious) and waffles or hotcakes which once again I've never been disappointed in. If I didn't like omelettes I wouldn't have taken the omelette option when there is always a 2nd option available.

I'm also not sure what meal you can really expect Air NZ to have on a 8:15am TT departure that's still going to be landing at 9:45am at latest - that is breakfast time.
