Are you accruing eqms in the AS only 75K bucket or the AS and partners 90K bucket?

If the AS only 75K bucket, this isn't just a matter of one round trip. Even if you buy first and get 175% eqm, you still need a base of 8K round trip to get 14K. And that won't come cheaply. The 50K bonus miles are arguably worth $750+. how much are you willing to spend?
