Ack. your message gave me hope as I was indeed on LTE.I tried wifi but still got the connection error. Will try deleting the app and reinstalling. What a mess.

To the iOS engineer: I appreciate your input but no, I don't want a new iOS version. I have limited download bytes per month and wasting a gig for some stupid new version of some stupid thing I don't use, no thank you.

OK, deleted the app and re-downloaded. Got a warning that the latest version worked with iOS 10.2 or later but offered to give me the latest version compatible with my iOS, which I did, and that did the trick!

PLUS as a bonus the app remembered all my stuff, so good outcome all round!

P.S. That doesn't make up for the fact my flight this evening was canx and they couldn't accommodate me on a later flight
