No. Citi CSRs do not always have complete information. When applying for a card, the CSR can tell that the link is associated with a bonus and that you opened or closed a card within 24 months. However, they cannot tell you whether or not you are eligible for the bonus. Wait for the welcome letter for personal cards or SM after activating a business card if you are unsure.

Had it not been for the ( now that I checked my notes ) 2 SPRVS who told me the 4 digit code was in the mail , and 3 others telling me they saw no notes regarding a verification letter I would totally agree with you .
But the last SPVR denied the application , and I think too many “ eyes “ on the app is not a good thing . I didnt feel like reconning and if approved risking getting a welcome letter with no bonus attached.
65 days have expired and I am eligible to do a new app today , so I thought that is the smarter thing to do!
