I flew some CO/NW codeshares in September 2002 that were operated on NW metal. The flights were treated just like any flight on Northwest and I was able to use my MVP upgrades on them without problem. Of course I accrued all the appropriate mileage, including the 100% bonuses that come with being an MVP Gold, even on NW.
