I only used my credit card in Toronto once for a cab ride... Within 2 weeks, I found items on my CC including a computer from Dell and some jewelry from an online vendor...

The address information on my credit card was changed to a suite in an office building somewhere in Toronto...

Ever since then, cash. Plain and simple.
