I will mention non elites and non-AA credit card customers generally get 0 bags on that itinerary, whether BASIC fare or not
BE fares do not affect your baggage allowance or the waiver for elite status. Flying in domestic Y, there is no free bag allowance. The fee for baggage is then, in your case, waived due to status. In others, it might be for a specific credit card. This is all clearly explained here:
