I joined Canadian's program and accrued over 100k before the merger and was surprized my old inactive AP account had ZERO miles to combine with my CP balance. Apparently at some point AP made an inactivity rule and deleted my balance without the coutesy of warning me to post some activity redeem or lose the balance.
Anyone have any experience getting deleted mileage reinstated? What would be the best course of action to get my antique mileage back?
So, let me get this straight just so I understand: you're not sure when your points expired but it could be up to 15 years ago, and you're unhappy with AC that a dormant account was closed? While a courtesy letter would've been nice, IIRC AP isn't required to do that as per its T&C. And what's in it for AC given that you haven't flown with them since '86? Have I covered just about everything? I'd think the chances of getting those deleted miles back are slim to none.
