Not sure what to do here. Mrs C (GGL) gifted a gold card to a relation who was blue a day or two into her new year (year ended but card still valid). My understanding is that the gold status is for the whole of the year and the succeeding year but one would have to phone GGL to manually input this. The card on her system was saying till Nov 2018 but she has just been reverted to blue. I have called GGL and they tell me that the extension only applies after the expiry of the card (could have waited 21 days for that). The knowledge from FT had backed me and I don't know what to do now. Any help would be appreciated.
