I just have one last question then.
How long can I hold onto an itinerary where one of the flights has been cancelled, before having to make my changes? Ie. Can I just simply sit on this issue for a few weeks before deciding how I should re-route?
I haven't actually been contacted by AP regarding this schedule change yet. Only noticed it myself while checking something else.
EDIT:
This actually got me thinking. What would have happened if I didn't notice this issue, and AP never notified me? What if by the time I noticed there were no award space at all available to get me to my destination? Would I basically be SOL?
