Labor costs. That is (and has been) one of the biggest areas for potential savings for AAG.

Alaska is now at a competitive disadvantage by being one of the carriers that *hasn't* sought chapter 11 protection.


Well, that's one consideration but, like everything else, you get what you pay for. Hey, why not outsource the work to another country - then the airlines could save tons of money and they would get people really happy to work any amount of money.
