My trusty Travel Pro (purchased from either Sams or Costco) is at end of life. The pull up handle has lost the handle. I've rigged it so I can get one of the telescoping posts up to pull it around, but want to replace it. I've asked Santa for some cash / gift cards and have my eyes on the Briggs and Riley Torq hardside. It is "international size", so I am curious if I will have any issues with it. I do several E175 / CRJ900 segments and fully expect to gate check it on the 900. Will I Have issues with it on the E175 or even mainline flights? I feel certain that I won't have any issues with it physically fitting on the 777s over the pacific, but curious about just getting it past gate agents.
The specs on BR’s website for the QU121SP says it is 21x14x9. Which means it’s the same as a domestic carry on (22x14x9), just one inch shorter.
Standard roll-aboards (22x14x9) fit just fine in the E175, so your shorter bag should have no issue.
