I think you’ll find the availability of CX F, JL F, AND EY F on AA.com to be particularly laughable. That you can book them using AA miles doesn’t mean it’s anything but outrageously rare to find that to be possible. Anyone flying AA or using AA miles already knows this to be true.

For the record, I had used AA miles to fly CX F back in 2012 and 2014. Not once since have I found it available.

For the record, I tried for JL F for May 2018 using AA miles, but there was no availability at all. Using UA miles, though, I easily arranged our outbound LAX-HND on NH F and our return KIX-ICN-LAX on OZ J/F. (And I’ll be staying at the SPG Prince Gallery Tokyo, the SPG Suiran Kyoto, the RC Kyoto, and the SPG StR Osaka all on points, too.)
