Unable to generate boarding pass for one traveller on a booking
I’ve had some odd behaviour trying to check in for a flight tomorrow. On the app everything went as normal, but on the final screen (where you click ‘get boarding pass’) the other person on the booking didn’t have the seat listed (I did). The BP generated normal for myself but I got the “unable to retrieve pass” error for the other person.
About five minutes later the seat number appeared for the other person, but still unable to generate the BP. I moved to the website where on the home page I get the error “we are missing some passenger details – please add these now”. I click the link but everything is ticked and marked ‘completed’.
Confused I rang BA and the guy says that “for some countries we need to check your documents before you can travel. Don’t worry everything is fine…”. Of course I’ve had this before, but for everyone on a booking not just one person.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not totally reassured by the call centre and fear I got a standard response when actually I am missing something…
In case it matters, it’s BA175 LHR – JFK.
