Not in the least. UAX is a brand comprised of several other carriers with which UA contracts to operate as UAX. Not at all the case where Swiss Global is an entity owned by Swiss, no different than any other conglomerate.
It is not the same corporate structure; you've got that part right. But it is the same to the purchaser. You can't buy a flight "directly" on United Express just like you can't buy a flight "directly" on Swiss Global Air-- the flight is
only sold under a UA* or LX flight number. It shows it is operated by someone else, but it is not a code-share flight because there is no "code to share". I think that's the point being made.
*There are a few UA flights that Great Lakes Air sells as solo flights, but UA only sells them as connecting flights (ex. PGA-PHX).
