This reminded me of a slightly sour, but unintentionally hilarious, check in agent years ago in HEL.

My bag was about 2-3kgs over the limit, which he noted fairly politely. I said I'd be happy to pay for it, and asked how much it was. The reply was, in a very sour tone with a hint of eye roll that well this time it's ok, but this is not some sort of a meat counter where you only pay for part of the meat.

And not once since this incident have I placed my bag on the belt without thinking about minced meat X)
