This can be incredibly useful in disruptions. On Sunday I was booked on a Monday flight which I estimated had a 40% chance of cancellation. There were three Tuesday morning flights available which I could have booked as insurance against the Monday flight cancellation. I wonder how many cooling-off period cancellations someone can do before being told they are abusing the system.
