Rounded or Blunt Scissors

"If you have a pair of rounded scissors in your bag, take them out an run them in a bowl. They look sharp on the X-ray."
This quote came from one of our posters... TSAJohn, or somesuch. He is a screener.
It made me think: If I have blunt or rounded scissors, which are acceptable, but I sharpen them to a very sharp knife-edge, but maintain the rounded end, isn't that as dangerous in the wrong hands as a knife, which is not allowed?
I don't say this to try to get blunt scissors banned, but to bring to light the hilarity of the screening process. We are not being protected by this, just being made to feel like they are protecting us.
Let's screen for guns and bombs, and leave the rest of the stuff alone, like it used to be.
