DHS (CBP) has access to all types of ancillary information which are not necessarily part of the standard criminal history databases for federal and state.

The key for the applicant is to have in hand attested (or certified depending on the jurisdiction) copies of the relevant original source documents from the court. These may include the docket, motions, orders and the like. In that way, if a question arises, you have paperwork with the proper seals on it which shows what the current status is.

For what it is worth, even if you are never considering applying for GE, having a complete certified/attested copy of the relevant parts of your file is just good common sense. Many local court systems are still paper-based and even those which are electronic may have screw up. If they do, you pay the price.
