I wouldn't go J on KE unless I a) didn't have the extra miles for F (flat beds like on AF) b) got a cheap-o J fare--KE runs these from time to time. J looked cramped and terrible in terms of food/wine/entertainment. A middle seat would be a killer.
Only a small minority of KE's planes feature the flat beds for F. Most are old-timey style, like the old TG seats. To add insult to injury, as of 1 April, KE sends F class reward holders back to the cheap seats, no matter what. On these old-style a/c, they sell the forward cabin as full fare business and the middle cabin as premium economy. Guess where KE puts those with F class reward tickets? Premium economy, not even the full-fare business sections... all of which are labelled with signs stating "First Class." It's a complete and total scam.

Oh, and what did DL say when I contacted them after the first flight segment to politely request a return of a portion of my miles? Go pound sand (or words to that effect). Nice, huh?
