I find that the program has become pretty poor over the last few years. I was diamond for years, but the once great program is just a shell now.
The only things I valued were a comfy seat and excellent customer service. Comfort plus worked, but the support has been declining for a few years now.
If you are hub captive, it could make sense. Delta guards their hubs fiercely. If not, I wouldn’t bother.
Personally i status matched away to united united this year. It just fit my travel patterns better. Neither United nor Delta will Care. So long as times are good for them they will not miss people like me.
Anyone who thinks status with an airline is a sign they care is mistaken. The airlines don’t. All they care about is revenue.
