Also, the value of PM goes up the more you travel in the coming year. OTOH if OP will be traveling significantly more next year, then the question becomes the value of PM over GM during the time from now (or January since OP won't travel more this year) to when PM can be earned next year, including rollover but noting that the MQD requirement or waiver must be satisfied too.
