It is amazingly bizarre that premium check in at HEL is unaware of rules. Make sure you give feedback to CS as this isn't the first time "premium" staff at HEL is unpleasant and ignorant.
I have travelled with some pretty odd items (Including the actual kitchen sink, when I moved house from Asia to Europe) with Finnair and always expected to be met with similar ignorance at some point, as I know my stuff aren't the daily usual case. But to my surprise oustation staff have been very good. 4x 32 kg with odd shapes and meassures have been accepted in HKG, CAN and CKG without any comments, and always with proffesional attitudes.
