I was staying at a hotel in Lombok, rented a motorbike from them (though I guess it would probably be another party), and forgot a camera in the trunk when I returned it (at the hotel, handed key to front desk). I called the hotel and they said they just found a camera bag, but with nothing inside. So obviously someone took it. They didn't really provide other details.

Anybody here know Indonesian culture? Is the best way to retrieve it by threats, or rewards? Like, calling the police, or saying if I get the memory card (only thing I really want, cause it has photos on it) I'll give some money?
