Was at SJC last night with LFAR and XCAR reservation. Both cars unavailable (nothing available) and app only offered minivans.
Asked about XCAR and agent said they no longer carry 5 series. They only have CTS and Volvo S90 in the fleet.
LFAR tends to be XT5, although they did offer a CX9 as a downgrade? As a Plat, they are willing to give me an XFAR on a LFAR reservation, but those were completely booked (I've seen Escalades/GLE/XC90 at SJC).
The main problem with SJC is you can have a reservation, but they may not have any cars in that category for pick up. The app will continue to let you book XCARs, even if there are none available.
I should note that they were also willing to offer a BMW 430i. They were also willing to let me take a car and come back at a later time to swap into my booked car category.
That said, I would set up back up reservations with other rental agencies if you do not find your car of choice.
