Never been to Kalmar. Perhaps going to Gothenburg on Sunday nights (on way/to from Vaxjo) could have been part of the problem.

Malmo and Lund are the places I am most familiar with (besides Stockholm) and I found them both very boring.

I did hear the Gothia Towers is good -- too bad they are an independent hotel with no points earning potential. I will try it when next I fly into GOT (on BA). Any suggestions for what night/places in Gothernburg to visit?
