I’m very wary of spraying deodorants in aircraft toilets now ever since changing out of sleepwear and ‘freshening up’ on an EY flight just before landing into PEK a few years ago. In a state of undress and gave a quick squirt under each arm. On both presses of the nozzle, it was like a plume of scented powder that came out and next thing I knew was one of the cabin crew banging on the door and frantically unlocking the toilet door from the outside whilst I was frantically trying to get my clothes on before being in full view of the J cabin in just my underwear. It took a little convincing that the deodorant wasn’t to try and mask the smell of cigarettes and hopefully the fact that the view she did get displayed the fact that I was actually only getting changed into my clothes. Roll on is now a permanent feature of my LaG bag.
