I think VX and AA were about the same size in 2016 based on SFO's 2016 report. VX + AS is probably larger than AA once the operation is combined, but nothing significant.
Per the investor slide deck following the merger announcement, AS+VX have 16% share vs AA’s 12% share. UA has 46%.
