Just returned on the HKG-BKK, in business. Different seat than the outbound, which appears to be their top choice as shown in their videos and online. Good, lie-flat sleeping area and decent ergonomics (for a Chinese carrier.) A bit narrow for those with the western fast food weight issue, but I had no trouble sleeping on my side or back. Comfortable pillow and blanket set and very attentive service. Great color schemes. Didn't try the food or IFE as the flights I did were red-eyes heading to and from the US on UA from HKG-IAD. The lounge at Gate 23 is good, not CX quality, but they had at least 5 hot dishes and very good shrimp dim sum. Drink selection was reasonable. Wifi worked well. I wouldn't hesitate trying them out on a decent businss class fare to the US. Their FFP seems to be about a 10% rebate (free flights or UPG's) worked correctly.
