Whenever possible I put my non-English/French/German speaking in-laws on OS, as transiting the much smaller Vienna airport is usually a breeze.
VIE might be a smaller airport to transit through but getting a direct flight from SGN/HAN to VIE and then VIE to YUL might be an issue.
