Of course there will always be a few exceptions that only fly specific routes but again for the vast majority of those of the East Coast AS makes no sense now. Before with DL/AA there was a least a way to get access to a more comprehensive route network. With that cut off plus the loss of AM\AF\KL, the small number of people in the East that could justify taking AS just got a whole lot smaller.
