1. Even if the tickets are stapled together, the Fare Basis will always show F/C/YRWSTAR1/2/3, and when you look the fare up on the fares display, the agent will be able to refer to a section which says "The whole journey shall fall under the piece concept".

2. If you want them to reissue the ticket, just say "I will be travelling to areas which I have previous experience with agents who are unfamiliar with the rules, so I would really like the ticket to be reissued".

Mind you, it might be a real pain to re-issue a RTW so hence the reluctance to reissue RTW tickets. But worth a try... a different agent might be more willing?
