I am increasingly sure that the assertion that NZ has grounded its fleet is simply untrue.

A report from Stuff that's only an hour old says this:-
Air New Zealand will delay and cancel more international flights over the coming weeks due to engine faults on its Dreamliners.

The airline has announced changes to multiple flights this week and said today that it will "be retiming some international flights and making a limited number of cancellations over coming weeks as a result of two recent events involving the Rolls-Royce engines on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft".
There is nothing in that article to suggest that NZ has grounded its fleet.

It does, however, confirm that the reason that some aircraft are not flying is that there are no spare engines for the airline to use in the interim.
