Oversized Baggage Question
Hi gurus,
On a recent Alaska trip from SNA -> SEA I brought along my bike. It fits into a rather large (47" X 30.5" X 10.5")case that Alaska charged me 50 bucks to take because it was deemed 'oversized'. (it weighs less than 50lbs, though)
Anyhow, I heard from a coworker that if I did not tell Alaska that I had a bike in the case and instead said it was a bunch of junk. . . .they wouldnt of charged me the 50 bucks.
Can anyone verify or dispute this?
Also, is it possible to use miles to offset charges like this?
Any tips or info would be appreciated. Thanks.
