Yes, on occassion. More so in Europe and larger metropolitan areas in OECD countries. In the US public transport only seems to be an option in a handful of places. Where I can get away without renting a car(keeping in mind time and money) I will try and avoid it. San Fran, Chicago, Boston, NY, DC and Portland are amongst the handful of places in the US where I have gone to without needing a car.
