Have your friend check their altitude account.

My 95th segment posted this morning (AQD target reached a few weeks ago). Logged into account a couple hours at and still E75k. Just logged in and account shows SE100k!

Obviously not early recognition, allowed selection for 2018 benefit year. As shown on other thread, have counter showing number of remaining 2017 IKK and the additional new 2018 IKK.

Now to hit 100k Aeroplan status miles to take advantage of lower change fees for next year and I can rapidly deplete my Aeroplan mileage balance prior to the AC/AE divorce!

I suspect there will be several sweeps in near future as there is an EYW badge for gaining higher status during the completion.
