The Roswell boneyard is well worth a visit if you're in the area and exhaust all the UFO-related diversions. You can get fairly close to the aircraft (which are by no means all ex-AA; saw a bunch of ex-Saudia 744s on my last visit). And the small passenger terminal at ROW has a nifty museum that tells the story of the Roswell Army Air Field.
