My general feeling is that members in the FT AY forum are pretty "heavy" FF's (not much movement between tiers) and not something that is discussed very often (or nearly half as much as it was when I was more active on the FT FB (AF/KL) forum.

Reminds me I need to update my Program status here...

Anyway, the only use I have of status is

1) When (and if, god forbid) I fly in Y and want to use the Fast Track through security and/or
2) use the Business check in (also if in Y)

Which is covered by Silver. I don't care much for lounge access as it is way too overrated IMO (generally speaking) and not that much of a quiet relaxing place as one would want it to be...

Only thing I'll "miss" about Gold is the free upgrade vouchers from Y (and 90% of my travel is funded by myself, rest 10% by work)
