The biggest problem to this is that AA in CAI has issued the ticket on hand written stock. The fares/routing/taxes are NOT on the ticket but they would have printed a seperate fare calculation on a piece of paper and attached to your ticket jacket. You must somehow show this piece to anyone who is issuing the ticket before they can reissue the ticket.
By calling the CX office in the USA is pointless unless they have all the necessary documentation. CX will NOT be able to see the image on AA ticket stock unless it is an e-ticket which is not in this case.
CX can reissue RTWs within a day. Just bring the ticket either to the airport counter or the Peninsula ticket office.
