Regarding the lobby lounge, it wasn't anything noteworthy really and the drinks were expensive of course. It is easy to check out to see what you think.
We had a drink at the bar while they were getting our room ready. Expect ~$20 for a cocktail (St. Regis or Peninsula would be the same), but the bartender was entertaining in a very old school kind of way, and they give you lots of nibbles. So I'd probably do it once for the experience.
