I have been traveling 2 times a year for the past few years. We have always stayed at Hiltons when possible because that was what the old boss wanted. However the new boss dislikes Hilton and would prefer Hyatt or Marriott. I book all the travel so he is leaving he decision between the two up to me. I will be traveling much more frequently possibly 15+ trips a year(yeah I know that is nothing compared to some of the road warriors on here). I was wondering if Hyatt or Marriott offer a better rewards program for me. I am mainly interested in getting free/discounted rooms for family travel. The other perks aren't as important to me as I doubt I will hit top tier status. Most trips are 3-4 nights and all travel will be in the US. Hyatt's smaller footprint doesn't bother me as we don't go off the beaten path.

I am rebuilding my credit right now, so earning status with credit cards isn't much of an option.
