Whether that's easy or impossible depends greatly on the machine. Too many (expletive) laptops with (expletive) soldered memory these days.

As for Firefox, I never left, but I am seriously annoyed about the WebExtensions transition. The two most important (PrivacyBadger and uBlock Origin) were ready to go on day one, and SSL Everywhere is working now, but most of my extensions haven't been updated and at least one author (the one for DownThemAll!) has basically said "(expletive) it, I'm not going to bother."
For those who like NoScript, you've probably seen it upgraded out of "legacy" already but it is (finally) available on 57+. I find it too intrusive (for my main system), and used to use YesScript to disable it on a few select sites; that still hasn't been upgraded (and probably won't be, the author having list been active years ago.)

On the plus side, while several people I know are annoyed by the lack of TabMixPlus, I always found it too heavy of a solution while the new FoxyTab seems to do everything I wanted out of TMP witha great deal less overhead.
