When I went through SFO on a DONE4 arriving AA and departing BA, I went to the F lounge and was initially denied. This was because my BP has a QF FF membership number printed on it (mine) but no OneWorld Emerald printed. This was due to the TA entering my QF FF number without the leading zeros and the BA system didn't pickup my OneWorld status, just the number and assumed I was a QF Nobody.
When I said I was QF Plat she asked to see my card, and then saw the zeros and changed the number in the system. She then re-issued my BP complete with the Emerald identification and all was fine. So yes, the BA lounge dragons at SFO can see the QF/OW status if they have the QF FF number.
But I can second number_6's comment on the lounge. It is small and when I was there got very full. I had about 4 hours for my connection and when I arrived at the lounge I was the only person there. But by boarding time it was standing room only. So get in early and get a seat.
The F lounge looks out over the tarmac, but not to the runway side of the airport. You look out at the nose of the BA bird you are about to board.
Oh yes, and welcome og to the hallowed ranks of WP.
