I agree that you can't earn DL miles on a CO-coded, VS-operated flight. You could, however, earn DL miles if you purchased your ticket on this flight directly from VS - but sadly, you won't earn any MQMs under this scenario.

As CO (and NW) enter SkyTeam, the ability to earn DL miles on their codeshare partners may improve.
