Just flew out of MCI and they do a poor job of (Actually no signage) routing people to the Pre-Check area. Luckily there was no line at the gates, the ID checker high lighted the names so we could keep shoes on but had to take out Ipads, 3n1 bag etc but kind of defeats having pre-check. FWIW on the return trip from IND which has 2 terminals only one had pre-check in one terminal (but with one sign at the entrance to security.) Is this new TSA trend?
So to clarify... you went thru security at the B37-45 checkpoint (larger/busiest one, to the left of the ticket counter as you're facing it) and received Pre-Check Light rather that the newly-dedicated PRE-only checkpoint at gate 32 (to the right of the ticket counter)? And yes, the city does a poor job with sinege, inside and out. Always has.
